DIY: Snickerdoodle Scrub

Hey guys!
This week I will be doing a DIY scrub. I use this scrub as a pre-shave on my legs and to exfoliate the whole body. It is moisturizing, not abrasive, and makes your skin feel amazing! I have eczema and this scrub doesn't irritate it. This scrub smells exactly like snickerdoodle cookies. If you really wanted to you could eat it too ;) I hope you enjoy!

Ingredients:

*You will need a jar and possibly a funnel
  1. 6.5 tablespoons Granulated Sugar (you can use unbleached sugar, but i find that to be more coarse)
  2. 1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon
  3. 1/2 teaspoon Pink Himalayan Salt (you can use regular salt, but Himalayan salt has more antioxidant properties)
  4. 1/2 tablespoon Honey
  5. 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla
  6. 2 tablespoons Coconut Oil (refined or unrefined, fun fact: refined is OK for use on your body but you should only consume unrefined coconut oil)
Yields: 4 oz. of Snickerdoodle Scrub

Directions:
  1. Fill a separate bowl with granulated sugar, cinnamon, salt, honey, and vanilla.
  2. Mix ingredients throughly together.
  3. Melt 2 tablespoons of coconut oil in the microwave.
  4. Pour coconut oil into mixture & stir throughly.
  5. You may have to add slightly more sugar or more coconut oil depending on the consistency. The mixture should be thick but pliable.
  6. Fill jar & enjoy!
Uses:
  1. Exfoliation before shaving legs (make sure you rise it off before putting a razor to your legs/body)
  2. Pre-spray tan or spending time in the sun
  3. Hand, facial, and body scrub- perfect for the dry winter months up North!

Nursing School 101: Everything You Need to Know Before You Go

Hey guys! This week I won’t be doing a product review. I am going to write about my experience with nursing school. I hope that this blog helps anyone who is going, looking, or dreaming about going through nursing school!   Before I started nursing school I was really curious about it and searched the internet for videos and blogs. I’ve noticed that a lot of nurses and nursing stories online (and in real life) are very negative. I found this to be really depressing and I questi oned if I did the right thing by switching my major. I decided that I was going to have a positive mindset and enjoy the process. I hope that this blog leaves you with a better understanding and a positive mindset before you head off to school!

Marilyn & Daddy-O by LUSH Review

This week I will be reviewing two products from LUSH Cosmetics. LUSH is a mostly natural, handmade, organic cosmetic store. If you've ever been to one of their stores you know they are addicting! They create anything from henna hair dye to perfume. It's pretty cool, the only downfall is that most of their products are pretty expensive!

Ardell Lash Extensions Review & Horror Story

Hey guys! This week I will be reviewing Ardell cluster lash extensions. I was going to originally make a YouTube tutorial video on applying them and my experience, but my experience was rather short lived and well, not that great. So, I hope you find this blog helpful! Enjoy 😊
