Paragard IUD: TWO "Periods" A Month?

Hi Friends-
I'm bringing you another blog about my Paragard IUD!

Does It Get Better?
Month 4 Update

I got my non-hormonal copper IUD in August 2017. I've had it for 7 months. I had some crazy anxiety about getting it in. The first few months I was very crampy and had heavy periods. The last FOUR months I've had wonderful periods. They haven't been crampy at all and aren't ridiculously heavy. Although, now I have developed a new issue. I've been bleeding twice a month... Once for my period, then after I ovulate. I track my cycle very closely with the Glow App. My period comes as normal each month, then it stops for about a week and a half. Then I ovulate, then I bleed pretty much until my next period starts. I only have nearly 5 days a month where I am not bleeding... THIS IS GETTING RIDICULOUS. I've called my doctor and have set up and appointment with her.
I have heard of this happening to someone else. I am wondering if I need to give it more time or if it's another issue. I am pretty sure it is the IUD, but it could be some other things I suppose.
Such as:
Simple cysts that are bursting with each ovulatory phase
Error in hormones (ovulation x2 per month).. I doubt it
Endometriosis (I doubt it)
An issue with the ovary I had surgery on

BUT... All things are pointing to my IUD.
Have any of you experienced this? Does it get better? Please let me know in the comments.
I love the IUD for birth control. It's so nice not having to think about it, but I am not sure if I can stand bleeding for 25 days a month.

XOXO
Kayla

Nursing School 101: Everything You Need to Know Before You Go

Hey guys! This week I won’t be doing a product review. I am going to write about my experience with nursing school. I hope that this blog helps anyone who is going, looking, or dreaming about going through nursing school!   Before I started nursing school I was really curious about it and searched the internet for videos and blogs. I’ve noticed that a lot of nurses and nursing stories online (and in real life) are very negative. I found this to be really depressing and I questi oned if I did the right thing by switching my major. I decided that I was going to have a positive mindset and enjoy the process. I hope that this blog leaves you with a better understanding and a positive mindset before you head off to school!

Marilyn & Daddy-O by LUSH Review

This week I will be reviewing two products from LUSH Cosmetics. LUSH is a mostly natural, handmade, organic cosmetic store. If you've ever been to one of their stores you know they are addicting! They create anything from henna hair dye to perfume. It's pretty cool, the only downfall is that most of their products are pretty expensive!

Ardell Lash Extensions Review & Horror Story

Hey guys! This week I will be reviewing Ardell cluster lash extensions. I was going to originally make a YouTube tutorial video on applying them and my experience, but my experience was rather short lived and well, not that great. So, I hope you find this blog helpful! Enjoy 😊
