Wet n Wild Matte Lipstick Review

Hello friends 😘 This week I will be reviewing Wet n Wild matte lipstick! I've recently been really into lipsticks and trying to find some cheap but great lip products. I originally heard about Wet n Wild lipsticks from itsjudytime on YouTube and decided to try them out!

I tried out three colors Dollhouse Pink, Think Pink, and Smoking Hot Pink (pictured in the swatches).
These lip colors are a total steal at $1.75 each! I bought them at Target; Wet n Wild is not sold everywhere.

So, this is very interesting to me--- each of the colors applied differently. I started out applying the Think Pink color. In the tube it looks like a nice pink peachy color, it almost has a nude color. The swatch turned out a deep pink peachy color as well. BUT on the lips the color was more "ashy" looking (very dry and pale). It wasn't nearly as pigmented as the swatch looks. It didn't apply to my entire lip-- some parts would just not stick! It was making my dry spots look horrid and settled into all the cracks. First impression was not that great for the lipsticks....

Then I tried on Dollhouse Pink. Luckily, this lip color applied much nicer than the Think Pink BUT it still was settling into the cracks and not fully applying to parts of my bottom lip. This color wasn't a great match for my skin tone, but it is a really fun bright color! In the tubing the color looks like a very hot pink. In the color swatch and on my lips you can definitely see purple undertones in this lipstick. You will definitely get the full pigmentation with this lip color!

The winner of the group was the Smoking Hot Pink, which I am wearing in the picture. In the tubing the color almost looks cherry like or deep plum. In the swatch and on my lips the color looks quite red and not pink at all! It's not as deep as the tube color appears. I love this color! I think it makes for a great "red" lip! The lipstick applied nicely! It didn't settle into my cracks and dry spots and if covered my entire lip! I wonder why each color applied differently? The finish of the lipstick stayed true to being matte. Each of the lipsticks had no scent or taste. I didn't apply this color with lip liner or anything other than the lipstick itself. I've been wearing it for a couple hours and it's stayed on very well. It's a very deep red so even if some comes off your lips will be stained red so it's not as noticeable. This product does transfer pretty easily! I'd assume with long term wear you'd need to reapply after eating and probably every 3-5 hours. Honestly though, for $1.75 this is a total steal!!

I guess it is hit or miss with the colors and how they're going to apply... I am really curious as to why each of them act differently! It's worth $1.75 just to try them out and see which colors will work best for you 👸🏼

Benefit They're Real VS. Too Faced Better Than Sex

The ultimate mascara review! If you are even slightly a bit of a make up addict you probably have heard about both Benefit's They're Real and Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara. I have tested them both out and feel confident I can give you an honest review on both of these mascaras. To be upfront I'll tell you that I prefer lengthening mascara, black black black mascara, non-waterproof, and a product that isn't going to smudge or flake off! I also bought these mascaras thinking that if I didn't like one or both of them I am definitely going to return them. Twenty some dollars is way too much money to spend on a product that doesn't work. So- here is how I tested the products: I wore all the mascara without any other eye makeup to determine smudging, flaking, etc. Day 1- I wore Too Faced Better Than Sex on both eyes Day 2- I wore Benefit's They're Real! on both eyes Day 3- I wore Too Faced on the left eye, Benefit on the right eye Day 4- I

Marilyn & Daddy-O by LUSH Review

This week I will be reviewing two products from LUSH Cosmetics. LUSH is a mostly natural, handmade, organic cosmetic store. If you've ever been to one of their stores you know they are addicting! They create anything from henna hair dye to perfume. It's pretty cool, the only downfall is that most of their products are pretty expensive!

Nursing School 101: Everything You Need to Know Before You Go

Hey guys! This week I won’t be doing a product review. I am going to write about my experience with nursing school. I hope that this blog helps anyone who is going, looking, or dreaming about going through nursing school!   Before I started nursing school I was really curious about it and searched the internet for videos and blogs. I’ve noticed that a lot of nurses and nursing stories online (and in real life) are very negative. I found this to be really depressing and I questi oned if I did the right thing by switching my major. I decided that I was going to have a positive mindset and enjoy the process. I hope that this blog leaves you with a better understanding and a positive mindset before you head off to school!
